CZECH GP QUALIFYING: FOURTH ROW FOR THE SYNC SPEEDRS TEAM RIDERS

In the qualifying session for the Czech Republic Grand Prix, the Sync SpeedRS Team riders secured tenth and eleventh positions respectively, earning a spot on the fourth row of the starting grid for tomorrow’s race.

After yesterday’s variable weather conditions, the sun returned to shine over the Czech circuit. Celestino used FP2 for a race simulation, focusing on pace and tyre management in preparation for Sunday. The Italian rider finished the session in P14 with a time of 1’59.601. In Q2, Vietti made a strategic pit stop before setting his best lap on his final attempt. With a time of 1’59.147, rider number 13 clinched eleventh place and thus a position on the fourth row of the grid.

FP2 proved more difficult for Alonso, who ended the session in P17 with a time of 1’59.946. In qualifying, the rider from Madrid immediately posted a time of 1’59.143, which earned him tenth place on the grid and a spot on the fourth row for tomorrow’s race.

“During FP2 I didn’t feel comfortable on the bike and we had to work a lot on the setup. In qualifying, however, we managed to fix things and I put in a good lap right at the start. It’s not the result I was looking for, but starting from the fourth row keeps us in the game. Tomorrow it’ll be important to get a good start and stay with the front group: we can have a good race”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 11th in 1’59.147
“I was hoping for a better qualifying, but a few mistakes on the good laps and a small issue prevented us from setting our best time. All things considered though, it didn’t go too badly. Tomorrow won’t be easy because there’s still a gap to the front riders, who are very fast. Now we’ll try to analyse everything thoroughly and take a small step forward for tomorrow, to see if we can close the gap a bit in terms of pace”.
