QUALIFICHE GP D’AUSTRIA: VIETTI IN PRIMA FILA, LÓPEZ IN QUARTA

Si sono concluse le qualifiche del Gran Premio d’Austria. Celestino Vietti ha chiuso con il quarto tempo, che diventa partenza dalla prima fila grazie alla penalità inflitta ieri al poleman. Alonso López scatterà invece dalla quarta fila dopo aver chiuso in decima posizione.

In FP2 Vietti ha chiuso la sessione in quarta posizione con un crono di 1’33.284. In Q2, dopo un giro annullato per track limits, il numero 13 ha fermato il cronometro in 1’33.059 nell’ultimo tentativo disponibile: un giro che, nonostante un piccolo errore finale che avrebbe potuto consentirgli di guadagnare più posizioni, gli è valso la quarta piazza. Questa posizione si è poi trasformata in prima fila a seguito della penalità di tre posizioni inflitta a Gonzalez.

López ha chiuso le prove libere in undicesima posizione, mentre in qualifica ha fatto segnare un 1’33.245 che gli vale il decimo posto e la partenza dalla quarta fila.

“Domani partiremo in una posizione che ci permette di lottare e sarà importante gestire bene i primi giri. Con il team abbiamo raccolto molti dati e cercheremo di fare un passo avanti per essere più competitivi in gara”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 4° in 1’33.059

“Stiamo continuando in maniera positiva il weekend. Abbiamo fatto un passo avanti con la Boscoscuro, sia in termini di guida che di velocità. Abbiamo limato qualche dettaglio, ma peccato per l’errore all’ultimo giro in qualifica, che ci avrebbe potuto permettere di guadagnare una o due posizioni. Comunque va bene così. Il ritmo è buono e siamo fiduciosi. Domani sarà importante partire bene e gestire correttamente la temperatura della gomma anteriore”.

AUSTRIAN GP QUALIFYING: VIETTI ON THE FRONT ROW, LÓPEZ IN FOURTH

The qualifying session for the Austrian Grand Prix has concluded. Celestino Vietti finished with the fourth fastest time, which turns into a front-row start due to the penalty given yesterday to the poleman. Alonso López will start from the fourth row after finishing in tenth position.

In FP2, Vietti ended the session in fourth place with a time of 1’33.284. In Q2, after a lap was canceled for track limits, the number 13 stopped the clock at 1’33.059 on his final attempt: a lap that, despite a small error at the end that could have earned him a higher position, secured him fourth place. This position then turned into a front-row start following a three-place penalty given to Gonzalez.

López finished the free practice sessions in eleventh place, while in qualifying he recorded a 1’33.245, which gave him tenth place and a start from the fourth row.

“We are continuing the weekend positively. We have made progress with the Boscoscuro, both in terms of riding and speed. We have fine-tuned a few details, but it’s a pity about the mistake on the last qualifying lap, which could have allowed us to gain one or two positions. Anyway, it’s fine. The pace is good and we are confident. Tomorrow it will be important to start well and manage the front tire temperature correctly”.
