CZECH GP: IL SYNC SPEEDRS TEAM CHIUDE LA PRIMA GIORNATA CON IL NONO E DECIMO TEMPO

Dopo cinque anni di assenza, il Gran Premio della Repubblica Ceca torna finalmente nel calendario del Motomondiale, e il SpeedRS Team si presenta all’Automotodrom Brno con grande determinazione e il supporto di Sync Tecnologie Meccaniche.

La prima giornata di attività si è chiusa con segnali positivi: López ha ottenuto il nono tempo, seguito da Vietti in decima posizione. Entrambi i piloti si sono così garantiti l’accesso diretto alla Q2 di domani.

La mattinata è iniziata con la pioggia, rendendo le FP1 più insidiose del previsto. Celestino ha saputo adattarsi con prontezza chiudendo con un ottimo quarto tempo in 2’12.073. Più difficile l’approccio per Alonso, che non è riuscito a trovare subito il giusto feeling con l’asfalto bagnato e ha chiuso la sessione in P19 con un crono di 2’13.076.

Nel pomeriggio, la sessione di Practice è iniziata su asfalto asciutto, ma dopo soli 15 minuti un violento temporale ha costretto i commissari a esporre la bandiera rossa, interrompendo anticipatamente le attività in pista. Le condizioni estreme non hanno permesso la ripresa della sessione, congelando così i tempi registrati nella prima parte del turno. Grazie al nono tempo di López (2’00.022) e al decimo di Vietti (2’00.090), entrambi i piloti del Sync SpeedRS Team si sono assicurati un posto nella Q2 di domani.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 9° in 2’00.022

“Non sono riuscito a trovare subito il giusto feeling con il bagnato e abbiamo faticato un po’ con il set-up. Nel pomeriggio, invece, mi sono sentito molto meglio sulla moto e sono riuscito a spingere finché il meteo ce l’ha permesso. Peccato per la bandiera rossa, avrei voluto continuare a lavorare, ma il nono tempo e l’accesso diretto alla Q2 sono un buon punto di partenza. Ora dobbiamo restare concentrati e continuare su questa strada”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 10° in 2’00.090

“Un buon inizio qui a Brno, dopo tanti anni di assenza. È davvero bello tornare su questa pista: con l’asfalto nuovo è ancora più divertente, sia sul bagnato che sull’asciutto. E con la Moto2 il feeling è nettamente migliore rispetto alla Moto3. Sono soddisfatto soprattutto per quanto fatto stamattina sul bagnato: abbiamo ritrovato velocità, cosa che al Sachsenring era mancata un po’ per le condizioni difficili e un po’ perché non ero riuscito ad adattarmi subito. Qui, invece, abbiamo fatto un buon passo avanti. Anche nel pomeriggio, nei pochi giri sull’asciutto prima della bandiera rossa, siamo stati abbastanza competitivi. Ora analizzeremo al meglio i pochi dati a disposizione per cercare di fare un piccolo step in vista di domani. Direi che abbiamo iniziato con il piede giusto”.

CZECH GP: THE SYNC SPEEDRS TEAM CLOSES FIRST DAY WITH NINTH AND TENTH FASTEST TIMES

After a five-year absence, the Czech Republic Grand Prix finally returns to the MotoGP calendar, and the SpeedRS Team arrives at the Automotodrom Brno with great determination and the support of Sync ‘Tecnologie Meccaniche’.

The first day of action ended with positive signs: López secured the ninth fastest time, followed closely by Vietti in tenth place. Both riders have thus earned direct access to tomorrow’s Q2 session.

The morning began with rain, making FP1 trickier than expected. Celestino adapted quickly, finishing with an excellent fourth-best time of 2’12.073. It was a more difficult session for Alonso, who struggled to find the right feeling with the wet asphalt and closed the session in P19 with a time of 2’13.076.

In the afternoon, the Practice session started on a dry track, but after just 15 minutes a violent thunderstorm forced the marshals to show the red flag, prematurely halting on-track activity. The extreme conditions did not allow the session to resume, thus freezing the times set in the early part of the session. Thanks to López’s ninth-fastest lap (2’00.022) and Vietti’s tenth (2’00.090), both Sync SpeedRS Team riders secured a spot in tomorrow’s Q2.

“I didn’t manage to find the right feeling with the wet conditions at first, and we struggled a bit with the setup. In the afternoon, however, I felt much better on the bike and was able to push until the weather turned. It’s a shame about the red flag, I would have liked to keep working but ninth place and direct access to Q2 is a good starting point. Now we need to stay focused and keep working in this direction”.

“A good start here in Brno after so many years away. It’s really great to be back on this track. With the new asphalt it’s even more fun, both in the wet and the dry. And the feeling with the Moto2 is definitely better compared to the Moto3. I’m especially pleased with how things went this morning in the wet: we found speed again, which was missing a bit at Sachsenring due to the difficult conditions and my own struggles to adapt. Here, though, we made a good step forward. Even in the afternoon, in the few dry laps before the red flag, we were quite competitive. Now we’ll analyze the limited data we have to try and take a small step forward for tomorrow. I’d say we’ve started off on the right foot”.
