OTTIMO INIZIO PER IL FOLLADORE SPEEDRS TEAM AL DUTCH GP: LÓPEZ E VIETTI SI ASSICURANO L’ACCESSO DIRETTO IN Q2 

Dopo la tappa di casa, il Team SpeedRS è tornato in azione per il nuovo round del Campionato Moto2 sullo storico circuito di Assen, la leggendaria “Cattedrale della Velocità”. I colori di Folladore si sono fatti notare fin dal primo giorno grazie a López e Vietti che accedono entrambi direttamente alla Q2 di domani.

La giornata si è aperta con un ritardo di oltre mezz’ora nelle FP1 a causa delle condizioni della pista. Nonostante ciò, López ha saputo trarre il massimo da una pista bagnata, dimostrando una grande confidenza con la sua Boscoscuro, moto che proprio su questo circuito lo scorso anno aveva conquistato tutti e tre i gradini del podio. Il numero 21 ha infine chiuso la sessione al comando con un crono di 1’36.025.Nel pomeriggio, con pista asciutta, Alonso ha confermato il suo passo competitivo. Un giro veloce in 1’35.200 lo avrebbe proiettato in seconda posizione nella Practice, ma il tempo è stato cancellato per una bandiera gialla causata dalla caduta del compagno di squadra. Tuttavia, il pilota di Madrid ha archiviato la giornata con un solido 1’35.747, che gli è valso la decima posizione e l’accesso diretto alla Q2.

Segnali positivi anche per Celestino Vietti, che ha affrontato la FP1 con una strategia lineare e un solo pit stop. Grazie a un feeling crescente con la moto, ha registrato un buon 1’36.767, tempo che gli è valso la decima posizione nella prima sessione. Nella Practice, con condizioni meteo più favorevoli, Celestino ha ulteriormente abbassato il proprio riferimento, fermando il cronometro a 1’35.978. Una scivolata all’ultima curva ha anticipato la fine della sua sessione, ma il tempo realizzato in precedenza è stato sufficiente per garantirgli la tredicesima posizione e l’accesso diretto alla Q2.

“Sono contento di come abbiamo iniziato il weekend. Fin dal primo turno ho sentito un buon feeling con la moto, e questo è sempre un segnale positivo, soprattutto su una pista come Assen dove mi trovo molto bene. Peccato per il giro cancellato nella Practice, il passo c’era e avremmo potuto essere molto più avanti, ma l’importante è aver centrato l’accesso diretto alla Q2. Domani voglio sfruttare al massimo il potenziale della moto e continuare a spingere per ottenere un posto nelle prime file”.

“Siamo partiti con un buon feeling e siamo abbastanza veloci. Mi dispiace per l’errore che ho commesso in Practice, che ci ha impedito di ottenere un tempo migliore. Per fortuna siamo riusciti a rimanere dentro la Q2 con il tempo del primo run, però quell’errore avrei potuto evitarlo. Ora continueremo a lavorare per fare un ulteriore step avanti anche domani”.

STRONG START FOR THE FOLLADORE SPEEDRS TEAM AT THE DUTCH GP: LÓPEZ AND VIETTI SECURE DIRECT ACCESS TO Q2

After their home round, the SpeedRS Team is back in action for the new Moto2 Championship round at the historic Assen circuit, the legendary “Cathedral of Speed.” The Folladore colors stood out from the very first day, with both López and Vietti securing direct access to tomorrow’s Q2.

The day began with over a half-hour delay in FP1 due to track conditions. Despite this, López made the most of the wet surface, showing great confidence on his Boscoscuro, a bike that claimed all three podium spots on this very circuit last year. Rider #21 ended the session on top with a lap time of 1’36.025.
In the afternoon, with a dry track, Alonso confirmed his competitive pace. A flying lap of 1’35.200 would have placed him second in Practice, but the time was deleted due to a yellow flag caused by his teammate’s crash. Nevertheless, the Madrid-born rider ended the day with a solid 1’35.747, earning him tenth place and direct access to Q2.

Positive signs also came from Celestino Vietti, who approached FP1 with a straightforward strategy and only one pit stop. Building confidence with his bike, he set a strong lap of 1’36.767, which placed him tenth in the first session. In the Practice, under improved weather conditions, Celestino lowered his time further, stopping the clock at 1’35.978. A crash in the final corner ended his session early, but the lap set earlier was enough to secure thirteenth place and direct Q2 access.

“I’m happy with how we started the weekend. From the first session, I had a good feeling with the bike, and that’s always a positive sign, especially at a track like Assen where I feel very comfortable. It’s a shame that my fast lap in Practice was deleted, as we had the pace to be much further up, but the important thing is that we made it directly into Q2. Tomorrow I want to make the most of the bike’s potential and keep pushing to secure a spot on the front rows”.
