PRIMA GIORNATA POSITIVA ALL’AUTODROMO INTERNAZIONALE DEL MUGELLO. VIETTI IN P2 E LÓPEZ IN P8

Il Beta Tools SpeedRS Team inaugura il weekend italiano al celebre Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello con un venerdì estremamente promettente. Sotto il caldo sole toscano, i due portacolori del team hanno mostrato un ottimo ritmo fin dalle prime sessioni: Vietti ha chiuso la giornata in P2, mentre López in P8. Entrambi affronteranno direttamente la Q2 di domani.

Vietti ha confermato le sensazioni positive già emerse nei test della scorsa settimana, mostrando grande competitività fin dalle FP1, concluse con il terzo miglior tempo in 1’50.677. Nel pomeriggio il pilota italiano si è ulteriormente migliorato, segnando un eccellente 1’50.288 che gli è valso il secondo posto della giornata.

Progressi significativi anche per Alonso. Dopo una mattinata compromessa dalla cancellazione del suo miglior giro (1’51.035), che l’ha visto dunque chiudere in P19 con un crono di 1’51.705, il numero 21 ha reagito con carattere nelle Practice. Con un crono di 1’50.645, López ha conquistato l’ottava posizione di oggi.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 2° in 1’50.288

“Sono soddisfatto delle prove di oggi. Dopo il test di Barcellona siamo riusciti a preparare una moto più facile, che mi permette di essere più costante in diverse condizioni. Anche il mio stile di guida ha contribuito a trovare una direzione che mi piace. In generale, abbiamo fatto un buon venerdì: il time attack è andato bene, il passo gara è competitivo, ma dovremo gestire al meglio le gomme perché fa molto caldo e il grip è poco. Siamo sulla strada giusta: ci sono ancora alcuni aspetti da migliorare, ma siamo lì. Pronti per domani!”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 8° in 1’50.645

“È stata una giornata positiva. Il feeling con la moto è migliorato giro dopo giro e il team ha lavorato davvero bene per mettermi nelle condizioni di essere competitivo. Il test di Barcellona ha sicuramente influito. Ora ci concentriamo sulle qualifiche, consapevoli di poter fare un ulteriore passo avanti”.

The Beta Tools SpeedRS Team kicked off the Italian weekend at the renowned Mugello International Circuit with a very promising Friday. Under the Tuscan sun, the team’s two riders showed strong pace right from the first sessions: Vietti ended the day in P2, while López secured P8. Both riders will go directly into tomorrow’s Q2.

Celestino confirmed the positive feeling already shown during last week’s test, demonstrating great competitiveness starting from FP1, which he finished with the third fastest time of 1’50.677. In the afternoon, the Italian rider improved further, setting an excellent 1’50.288 to claim second place for the day.

There was also significant progress for Alonso. After a morning session compromised by the cancellation of his best lap (1’51.035), which saw him finish P19 with a time of 1’51.705, rider #21 responded with determination during the Practice session. With a lap time of 1’50.645, López claimed the eighth spot on today’s timesheet.

“I’m satisfied with the practice sessions. After the Barcelona test, we managed to set up a bike that’s easier to ride and allows me to be more consistent in different conditions. My riding style also helped us find a direction that suits me. Overall, it was a good Friday: the time attack went well, the race pace is strong, but we’ll need to manage the tyres carefully because it’s very hot and the grip is low. We’re on the right path—there are still a few things to improve, but we’re there. Ready for tomorrow!”

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 8th in 1’50.645
“It was a positive day. The feeling with the bike improved lap after lap, and the team did a great job putting me in a position to be competitive. The Barcelona test definitely had an impact. Now we focus on qualifying, knowing we can make another step forward”.
