VIETTI RIMONTA FINO AL QUINTO POSTO, MENTRE LÓPEZ LASCIA LA GERMANIA A MANI VUOTE

Una gara ricca di colpi di scena quella disputata oggi al Sachsenring, segnata da numerose cadute e da un finale anticipato dalla bandiera rossa a quattro giri dal termine. Celestino Vietti ha chiuso il Gran Premio di Germania con un ottimo quinto posto dopo una rimonta di spessore, mentre Alonso López cade a pochi giri dall’inizio.

Vietti ha dimostrato ancora una volta determinazione e lucidità nella gestione della gara. Partito dalla diciottesima posizione in griglia, il pilota di Cirié ha sfruttato una grande partenza e un passo gara costante e competitivo, pari a quello dei primi, per risalire progressivamente il gruppo e lottare per la zona podio. Nel finale, Celestino si è trovato in bagarre con Gonzalez per la sesta posizione, quando la caduta di due piloti davanti ha rimescolato le carte. La direzione gara ha deciso di interrompere la corsa con bandiera rossa a 21 giri, cristallizzando la classifica al giro precedente. Il numero 13 ha così conquistato un solido quinto posto, che gli permette di guadagnare punti preziosi in classifica generale, seppur con un pizzico di rammarico per una quarta posizione che sembrava ormai alla portata.

Giornata sfortunata invece per Alonso, scivolato dopo pochi giri dall’inizio. Nessuna conseguenza fisica per il pilota di Madrid, ma il weekend tedesco si chiude per lui senza punti.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: DNF

“Purtroppo la gara è finita troppo presto per me. Ho commesso un errore nelle prime fasi e sono scivolato. È un vero peccato perché avevamo il potenziale per fare bene, ma oggi non è andata come speravamo.Ora dobbiamo voltare pagina e concentrarci sul prossimo weekend”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 5°

“Sono soddisfatto della gara perché siamo riusciti a limitare i danni causati ieri in qualifica. Abbiamo confermato la velocità mostrata venerdì sull’asciutto, ed è un segnale positivo. Oggi le condizioni erano leggermente diverse, c’era meno grip in pista, e questo ha reso difficile mantenere il ritmo. Inoltre, partendo da così indietro e dovendo rimontare molte posizioni, nel finale ho faticato sia con l’anteriore che con il posteriore sinistro. Nonostante tutto, è stata una buona gara: siamo stati bravi a non commettere errori. È stata una battaglia continua, soprattutto con Gonzalez negli ultimi giri. Siamo stati competitivi e, considerando la posizione di partenza, abbiamo fatto il massimo possibile. Ora speriamo di arrivare a Brno con la stessa velocità mostrata qui, ma partendo da una qualifica migliore”.

VIETTI FIGHTS BACK TO FIFTH PLACE, WHILE LÓPEZ LEAVES GERMANY EMPTY-HANDED

A race full of drama unfolded today at the Sachsenring, marked by multiple crashes and an early end due to a red flag with four laps to go. Celestino Vietti wrapped up the German Grand Prix with an excellent fifth place after a remarkable comeback, while Alonso López crashed out just a few laps into the race.

Vietti once again demonstrated great determination and composure in managing the race. Starting from 18th on the grid, the rider from Cirié got off to a brilliant start and maintained a steady, competitive pace comparable to the race leaders. This allowed him to steadily climb through the pack and fight for podium positions. In the final stages, Celestino was locked in a battle with Gonzalez for sixth place when two riders ahead crashed, shaking up the standings. Race Direction decided to red-flag the race after 21 laps, freezing the classification at the previous lap. The Italian rider thus secured a solid fifth place, earning valuable points in the championship standings, though with a hint of regret for a fourth place that seemed within reach.

It was a tough day for Alonso, who slid out just a few laps into the race. Fortunately, the Madrid-born rider was unhurt, but the German weekend ended without any points for him.

“Unfortunately, the race ended too soon for me. I made a mistake in the early stages and crashed. It’s a real shame because we had the potential to do well, but things didn’t go as we hoped today. Now we have to turn the page and focus on the next weekend”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 5°

“I’m satisfied with the race because we managed to limit the damage caused by yesterday’s qualifying. We confirmed the pace we had on Friday in dry conditions, and that’s a positive sign. Today the track conditions were slightly different, there was less grip, which made it harder to maintain the same rhythm. Also, since I had to come back from so far behind, I struggled in the final laps with both the front and the left rear tyre. Overall, it was a good race, and we did well to avoid mistakes. It was a constant battle, especially with Gonzalez towards the end. We were competitive and did the best we could considering our starting position. Now we hope to be just as fast in Brno, but with a better start and a stronger qualifying”.
