SAN MARINO GP: VIETTI SEVENTH, LUNETTA CROSSES THE FINISH LINE DESPITE CRASH

The home race of the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team concluded with a seventh-place finish for Celestino Vietti, who put together a solid race characterised by a competitive pace, while Luca Lunetta finished 23rd after a crash in the early stages of the race.

Starting from the grid with great determination, Vietti showed a particularly consistent pace from the very first laps. However, the initial battle with Arbolino and, subsequently, the fight with Muñoz slowed his progress, allowing the leading riders to open a gap.

The rider from Turin did not lose focus and continued to push, maintaining a fast and consistent pace that allowed him to recover several positions. In the final stages of the race, he also faced a direct battle with López, which Vietti came out on top of, crossing the finish line in seventh position.

It was a more difficult race for Luca Lunetta, who crashed before completing the second lap. The young rookie managed to rejoin the race and finish, but two laps behind the group, ultimately taking 23rd position.

The Beta Tools SpeedRS Team now looks ahead to the next round of the calendar: the Austrian Grand Prix, scheduled for next weekend.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P7

“Good Sunday! We managed to sort out the weekend a little. Unfortunately, starting from the back, it is always difficult, but we take the positives from it and remain focused on Austria next week”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P23

“Sunday at Misano has wrapped up, and overall, I’d describe it as an uphill battle of a weekend. We worked hard, especially to find the right feel for the bike, and we did make progress compared to yesterday. The race was certainly tough; the crash in the opening laps compromised the final result, but I’m glad I managed to rejoin the race and used the opportunity to keep working and get some mileage in. The gap was significant by then, but I chose not to give up and to finish the race. It’s certainly not the result we wanted for our home GP, but we’re looking ahead. I want to thank the team for their hard work throughout the weekend”.
