SECONDA FILA PER VIETTI, SESTA PER LÓPEZ NELLE QUALIFICHE DEL GP DEL GIAPPONE

Si sono concluse le qualifiche del Gran Premio del Giappone, con Celestino Vietti che scatterà domani dalla seconda fila grazie a un ottimo quarto posto, mentre Alonso López prenderà il via dalla sesta fila.

Nelle FP2, Vietti ha chiuso in P4 con il tempo di 1’48.762, dimostrando progressi rispetto a ieri. López ha terminato in P11 in 1’49.001, migliorando a sua volta la prestazione del venerdì.

Passato direttamente in Q2, Celestino ha confermato l’ottima forma: con un giro in 1’48.132 ha sfiorato la prima fila, conquistando un brillante quarto posto e mostrando un passo solido in ottica gara.

Alonso, invece, è dovuto passare dalla Q1, dove ha ottenuto il terzo miglior tempo (1’48.452) che gli è valso l’accesso alla sessione decisiva. In Q2, però, una bandiera gialla ha annullato il suo miglior giro (1’48.524), che lo avrebbe portato fino all’ottava posizione. Con il tempo di 1’48.886, il pilota spagnolo ha così chiuso in P16, posizionandosi in sesta fila sulla griglia di partenza.

“Abbiamo lavorato bene nelle libere e ho trovato un buon ritmo, ma in Q2 una bandiera gialla ha cancellato il mio giro migliore. È un peccato perché saremmo potuti partire più avanti, ma il passo c’è e credo possiamo recuperare domani”.

“Un buon sabato. Step avanti da ieri a oggi e tra una sessione e l’altra. Feeling positivo con la moto e buone le sensazioni di guida, quindi siamo abbastanza vicini. Abbiamo migliorato anche il passo. Domani dobbiamo fare una buona partenza perché qui in questa pista non scaldare l’anteriore. Sono fiducioso, la squadra ha fatto un bel lavoro. Concentrati e avanti così”.

SECOND ROW FOR VIETTI, SIXTH FOR LÓPEZ IN JAPANESE GP QUALIFYING

Qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix has concluded, with Celestino Vietti set to start tomorrow from the second row thanks to an excellent fourth place, while Alonso López will take the start from the sixth row.

In FP2, Vietti finished P4 with a time of 1’48.762, showing progress compared to yesterday. López ended in P11 with 1’49.001, also improving on Friday’s performance.

Directly into Q2, Celestino confirmed his excellent form: with a lap of 1’48.132, he narrowly missed the front row, securing a brilliant fourth place and showing strong race pace.

Alonso, on the other hand, had to go through Q1, where he posted the third fastest time (1’48.452) to advance to the decisive session. In Q2, however, a yellow flag wiped out his best lap (1’48.524), which would have placed him in eighth. With a time of 1’48.886, the Spanish rider finished P16, lining up in the sixth row on the starting grid.

“We worked well in the free practice sessions and I found a good rhythm, but in Q2 a yellow flag canceled my best lap. It’s a shame because we could have started further up, but the race pace is there and I believe we can make up positions tomorrow”.

“A good Saturday. Step forward from yesterday to today and from one session to the next. Positive feeling with the bike and good riding sensations, so we’re quite close. We also improved our pace. Tomorrow we need a good start because on this track it’s important not to overheat the front tire. I’m confident, the team did a great job. Focused and let’s keep pushing”.
