#IDNP – INDONESIAN GP: MANCATA Q2 PER IL BETA TOOLS SPEEDRS TEAM. LUNETTA IN 6ª FILA, VIETTI IN 8ª
CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P22 in 1’33.113
LUCA LUNETTA #32: P18 in 1’32.685
INDONESIAN GP: THE BETA TOOLS SPEEDRS TEAM MISS OUT ON Q2. LUNETTA TO START FROM ROW SIX, VIETTI FROM ROW EIGHT
A difficult Saturday for the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team, which failed to secure a place in Q2. Luca Lunetta and Celestino Vietti will face a race requiring strong comebacks tomorrow, starting from the sixth and eighth rows of the grid, respectively.
The final free practice session ended with Celestino Vietti in 16th place with a time of 1’33.028 and Luca Lunetta in 18th in 1’33.096. In the afternoon, the Roman rider came extremely close to making it into Q2, setting a lap time of 1’32.685, identical to Joe Roberts’ time. The deciding factor was the second-fastest lap, which favoured his rival by just two thousandths of a second, leaving number 32 out of the second qualifying session. Initially set to start from the seventh row, Luca gained one position thanks to the penalty given to Baltus, moving up to the sixth row.
Qualifying was also challenging for Celestino, who was unable to improve on his best time of 1’33.113, missing out on a place in Q2. Despite gaining two positions thanks to penalties handed to other riders, the rider from Turin will still start from the eighth row.
CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P22 – 1’33.113
“It’s a shame. We were missing something to improve and make it into Q2. Starting from the eighth row will make the race more difficult, but we’ll give it our all and try to fight our way through the field”.
LUCA LUNETTA #32: P18 – 1’32.685
“It’s disappointing to miss out on Q2 by such a small margin. We set the same time as Roberts, but the second-fastest lap didn’t go our way, and we were just a little short of making it through. It’s a difficult situation to accept, but we have to look ahead and focus on tomorrow’s race. We’ll start from the sixth row and do our best to make up positions and bring home a good result”.
