QUALIFICHE AUSTRALIAN GP: LÓPEZ E VIETTI SI FERMANO IN Q1

La seconda giornata del Gran Premio d’Australia non ha riservato i risultati sperati per il Beta Tools SpeedRS Team. Entrambi i piloti si sono infatti fermati in Q1, senza riuscire ad accedere al turno successivo, e scatteranno così domani dalla settima e nona fila della griglia di partenza.

Le FP2 si sono aperte su pista bagnata, rendendo difficile portare avanti un lavoro costante in vista delle qualifiche. In queste condizioni, sia Alonso che Celestino hanno girato con gomme da pioggia. Nel finale, con la pista ormai asciutta, alcuni piloti hanno montato le slick, riuscendo a migliorare sensibilmente i propri tempi e creando un grande divario che ha fatto scivolare i portacolori del Beta Tools SpeedRS Team in P8 (López) e P19 (Vietti).

In Q1, le cose non sono migliorate. Il numero 21 ha chiuso con il sesto tempo (1’30.809), mentre Vietti ha terminato in P11 (1’31.607), rimanendo dunque fuori dalla Q2. Domani partiranno dalle retrovie: settima fila per López e nona fila per Vietti.

La gara Moto2 di domani è stata posticipata di un’ora, con partenza fissata alle 13:15 (UTC +11h).

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 20° in 1’30.809

“Non siamo riusciti a trovare il giusto equilibrio per sfruttare al meglio il potenziale. In Q1 ho dato il massimo ma mi è mancato quel qualcosa in più per passare il turno. Domani sarà complicato avanzare ma cercheremo di sfruttare al meglio ogni giro per avere maggiori feedback”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #21: 25° in 1’31.607

“Non posso dirmi soddisfatto della giornata. Le condizioni non sono state delle migliori neanche oggi ed è stato difficile seguire un lavoro lineare. In Q1 ho provato a spingere, ma è stato abbastanza per passare alla Q2. Ora analizzeremo bene i dati e domani in gara darò tutto, l’obiettivo è fare una buona partenza e cercare di rimontare”.

AUSTRALIAN GP QUALIFYING: LÓPEZ AND VIETTI STOP IN Q1

The second day of the Australian Grand Prix did not bring the expected results for the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team. Both riders stopped in Q1, unable to advance to the next session, and will therefore start tomorrow’s race from the seventh and ninth rows of the grid.

FP2 began on a wet track, making it difficult to carry out consistent work ahead of qualifying. In these conditions, both Alonso and Celestino used rain tyres. In the final minutes, as the track dried out, several riders switched to slicks, managing to improve their lap times significantly and creating a large gap that pushed the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team riders down to P8 (López) and P19 (Vietti).

In Q1, things did not improve. Rider #21 closed the session with the sixth fastest time (1’30.809), while Vietti finished 11th (1’31.607), both missing out on a place in Q2. Tomorrow they will start from the back of the grid: seventh row for López and ninth row for Vietti.

Tomorrow’s Moto2 race has been delayed by one hour, with the new start time set for 13:15 (UTC +11h).

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 20th in 1’30.809

“We weren’t able to find the right balance to fully exploit our potential. In Q1 I pushed as much as I could, but I was missing that little extra to make the step. Tomorrow it will be difficult to move forward, but we’ll try to make the most of every lap to gather more feedback and improve”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #21: 25th in 1’31.607

“I can’t say I’m satisfied with today. The conditions weren’t ideal once again, and it was hard to follow a consistent plan. In Q1 I tried to push, but it wasn’t enough to reach Q2. Now we’ll analyse the data carefully, and tomorrow I’ll give my all in the race; the goal is to make a good start and try to recover as many positions as possible”.
