CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P9 in 1’47.387

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P25 in 1’48.017

VIETTI TO START FROM THE THIRD ROW AT THE JAPANESE GP

Saturday at the Japanese GP comes to a close with Celestino Vietti starting from the third row and Luca Lunetta from the ninth. A day in which the #13 rider confirmed the progress made throughout the weekend, while Lunetta faced a more challenging qualifying session.

In the morning session, Celestino rider focused on race simulation, finishing P13 with a time of 1’47.720. In Q1, Vietti responded with the fastest lap of the session, 1’47.378, securing his place in the decisive phase. In Q2, Vietti continued to push in search of a front-row start, but a crash at Turn 10 on his final lap compromised his last attempt, just as he was improving. The Italian rider nevertheless finished qualifying in ninth position, with a time of 1’47.387.

A more difficult day, meanwhile, for Luca Lunetta. The Roman rider of the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team finished the morning session in P22, with a time of 1’48.078. Unfortunately, in Q1 Luca was unable to find the pace needed to progress to the next stage. With a time of 1’48.017, Lunetta will start tomorrow’s race from the ninth row of the grid.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P9 – 1’47.387
“A good Saturday. We made a step forward compared to yesterday, and that is definitely positive. We worked well with the team and the feeling with the bike has improved a lot. Steep by step, we are getting closer to the front. I’m disappointed about the mistake in qualifying because we had the potential to start from one of the first two rows. In any case, the pace is there and that gives us confidence. Tomorrow we will try to make a good start and fight until the end”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P25 – 1’48.017
“It was definitely not an easy day. This morning we struggled a little to find the feeling we were looking for, and in qualifying I wasn’t able to put together the lap needed to make it through to Q2. The lap time doesn’t fully reflect our potential, but we will try again tomorrow in the race”
