Si conclude il sabato del GP d’Ungheria con una quarta fila per Celestino Vietti e una settima fila per Luca Lunetta. 

Nel corso dell’ultima sessione di prove libere, Vietti ha concentrato il lavoro principalmente sul passo gara, privilegiando la costanza sul long run rispetto alla ricerca del tempo sul giro. Il pilota torinese ha chiuso le FP2 in undicesima posizione con il crono di 1’40.563. Costretto a passare per la Q1, Celestino ha subito mostrato un ottimo ritmo, firmando un tempo competitivo che gli ha garantito l’accesso in Q2 nonostante una caduta alla curva 12. Grazie al rapido intervento del team, la moto è stata rimessa in pista in tempo utile, permettendo a Vietti di affrontare la sessione e conquistare il dodicesimo posto finale in 1’40.816. Un risultato che gli consentirà di scattare dalla quarta fila nella gara di domani.

Prosegue invece il percorso di crescita di Luca Lunetta sul tracciato ungherese. Il rookie del MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team ha terminato le FP2 in ventiquattresima posizione con il tempo di 1’41.547. In Q1 il pilota romano è riuscito a migliorarsi, fermando il cronometro sull’1’41.370. Il settimo tempo della sessione non è però bastato per entrare in Q2. Lunetta partirà quindi dalla ventunesima casella in settima fila.

“Abbiamo raddrizzato e migliorato rispetto a ieri. Siamo riusciti infatti ad accedere in Q2 anche se non è stata la migliore di sempre. Domani non sarà facile, ma daremo tutto per portare a casa il miglior risultato possibile ”.

“Sabato archiviato! Questa mattina abbiamo girato con due treni di gomme usate, quindi non siamo stati velocissimi, ma abbiamo analizzato bene quello che ci mancava sulla moto per il passo gara. In Q1 il giro secco è stato buono ma non perfetto. Comunque ci avviciniamo sempre di più alla Q2, abbiamo fatto dei buoni lap time. Per domani bisognerà fare una bella gara in rimonta: partire bene ed essere costanti, perché è una pista in cui bisogna essere super precisi. Testa e grinta per domani! .

HUNGARIAN GP QUALIFYING: VIETTI FOURTH ROW, LUNETTA TO START FROM ROW SEVEN

The Saturday of the Hungarian GP ends with a fourth-row start for Celestino Vietti and a seventh-row start for Luca Lunetta.

During the final free practice session, Vietti focused mainly on race pace, prioritizing consistency over a single fast lap. The rider from Turin finished FP2 in 11th place with a lap time of 1’40.563. Forced to go through Q1, Celestino immediately showed strong pace, setting a competitive time that secured him access to Q2 despite a crash at Turn 12. Thanks to the team’s quick intervention, the bike was repaired in time, allowing Vietti to take part in the session and finish 12th overall with a 1’40.816 lap time. A result that will see him start from the fourth row in tomorrow’s race.

Luca Lunetta’s development weekend on the Hungarian track continues. The rookie of the MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team finished FP2 in 24th place with a time of 1’41.547. In Q1, the Roman rider improved, stopping the clock at 1’41.370. His seventh-fastest time in the session was not enough to reach Q2. Lunetta will therefore start from 21st position, on the seventh row.

“Saturday done! This morning we rode with two sets of used tyres, so we weren’t very fast, but we analysed well what we were missing on the bike for race pace. In Q1 the flying lap was good but not perfect. Still, we’re getting closer and closer to Q2, we’ve set some good lap times. Tomorrow we’ll need a strong comeback race: a good start and consistency, because this is a track where you need to be extremely precise. Focus and determination for tomorrow!”.
