Un GP d’Ungheria intenso e combattuto quello andato in scena al Balaton Park Circuit, tracciato tecnico e insidioso dove i sorpassi si sono rivelati particolarmente complessi fin dalle prime battute del weekend. In questo scenario difficile, il MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team porta a casa una preziosa settima posizione con Celestino Vietti e tanta esperienza accumulata per Luca Lunetta, diciottesimo al traguardo.

Scattato dalla dodicesima casella, Celestino è riuscito a recuperare posizioni con autorevolezza, entrando stabilmente in top ten fino a consolidare la settima posizione nella seconda metà di gara. Un risultato importante che permette a Vietti di difendere la terza posizione nella classifica mondiale, restando pienamente in lotta per il campionato.

Weekend più complicato invece per Luca Lunetta, chiamato a rimontare dalle retrovie su un circuito che offre poche opportunità. Il giovane pilota italiano ha però mostrato carattere e grinta, riuscendo a risalire fino alla zona punti. Nel finale, però, non è riuscito a mantenere il piazzamento conquistato, chiudendo diciottesimo sotto la bandiera a scacchi.

Il MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team archivia così il fine settimana ungherese e tornerà in pista dal 19 al 21 giugno sul tracciato di Brno, per il GP della Repubblica Ceca.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P7

“Una buona domenica: alla fine siamo riusciti a raddrizzare la situazione, nonostante non sia stato un weekend facile. Sfortunatamente questo è un circuito dove si fa fatica a superare e, partendo dietro, non è stato semplice. Però siamo riusciti a rimontare diverse posizioni. Abbiamo raccolto anche dei buoni dati e capito qualcosa di importante in vista delle prossime gare, nel caso ci trovassimo di nuovo in difficoltà. Tutto sommato il bilancio è positivo: la squadra ha lavorato bene e da ieri abbiamo fatto un grande step. Grazie a tutti. Ora ci aspetta una settimana di riposo e arriveremo alla prossima gara carichi per fare ancora meglio”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P18

“Una buona partenza e un buon primo giro. Ho cercato di sfruttare la gara per lavorare su me stesso, soprattutto sulle frenate, e credo che abbiamo fatto uno step in avanti. Adesso dobbiamo analizzare tutto e capire dove e come abbiamo perso i decimi nel passo gara. Dobbiamo continuare a lavorare al massimo per crescere e tornare ad avere velocità. Ci vediamo a Brno!”.

HUNGARIAN GP RACE: VIETTI FINISHES SEVENTH, LUNETTA EIGHTEENTH

An intense and hard-fought Hungarian Grand Prix took place at the Balaton Park Circuit, a technical and demanding track where overtaking proved particularly difficult right from the start of the weekend. In these challenging conditions, the MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team secured a valuable seventh-place finish with Celestino Vietti, while Luca Lunetta gained important experience despite crossing the line in eighteenth position.

Starting from twelfth on the grid, Celestino managed to recover positions confidently, consistently running inside the top ten before securing seventh place during the second half of the race. An important result that allows Vietti to defend third position in the world championship standings, keeping him firmly in the title fight.

A more difficult weekend instead for Luca Lunetta, who was forced to fight his way through the field on a circuit offering very few overtaking opportunities. Nevertheless, the young Italian rider showed determination and grit, climbing up to the points-paying positions. In the closing stages, however, he was unable to maintain the position he had gained and eventually finished eighteenth under the chequered flag.

The MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team now wraps up the Hungarian weekend and will return to action from June 19th to 21st at the Brno Circuit for the Czech Republic Grand Prix.

“Overall, it was a good Sunday. In the end, we managed to turn the situation around despite it not being an easy weekend. Unfortunately, this is a track where overtaking is very difficult and, starting from the back, it wasn’t easy. Still, we managed to recover several positions. We also collected some valuable data and understood important things for the next races, especially if we find ourselves in difficulty again. All things considered, the outcome is positive: the team worked really well and we made a big step forward compared to yesterday. Thanks to everyone. Now we have a week off and we’ll arrive at the next race fully motivated to do even better”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P18
“It was a good start and a strong opening lap. I tried to use the race to work on myself, especially on braking, and I believe we made a step forward. Now we need to analyse everything and understand where and how we lost tenths in race pace. We have to keep working at our maximum to improve and regain our speed. See you in Brno!”.
