Si chiude al Silverstone Circuit il dodicesimo appuntamento della stagione, con Celestino Vietti al tredicesimo posto al termine di una gara complessa e Luca Lunetta autore di una rimonta dalla 24ª posizione in griglia.

Una partenza non ottimale e un passo gara al di sotto delle aspettative hanno costretto il numero 13 a una lunga rincorsa. Vietti è rimasto per gran parte dei 17 giri del Gran Premio di Gran Bretagna nella top 14, senza riuscire a ricucire il distacco e a cambiare l’inerzia della gara. Celestino ha comunque tagliato il traguardo in tredicesima posizione, conquistando punti utili per consolidare il settimo posto nella classifica generale.

Gara di gestione e rimonta, invece, per Luca Lunetta, scattato dalla 24ª casella della griglia. Dopo una prima fase in cui non è riuscito a recuperare immediatamente terreno, il pilota ha scelto di preservare la gomma, aumentando progressivamente il ritmo con il passare dei giri. Una gestione efficace gli ha permesso di recuperare diverse posizioni e di avvicinarsi alla zona punti, fino a chiudere il Gran Premio in sedicesima posizione.

Il GT Trevisan SpeedRS Team si prende ora un’ulteriore pausa prima di tornare in pista. Il prossimo appuntamento con il Mondiale sarà al MotorLand Aragón, dal 28 al 30 agosto.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P13

“Non è stata la gara che ci aspettavamo. Ho fatto molta fatica a trovare un ritmo davvero competitivo e questo, purtroppo, ci ha penalizzato. La tredicesima posizione è un risultato positivo, ma sappiamo di poter fare molto di più. Ora guardiamo avanti: non vedo l’ora di tornare in pista ad Aragón e lavorare al massimo per fare un step avanti”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P16

“Domenica di gara tosta, in cui secondo me abbiamo fatto comunque un grande step con la moto e con il set-up in generale. Mi sentivo molto più a mio agio alla guida e questo ci ha permesso di migliorare il comportamento della moto e di essere più veloci, soprattutto nella parte centrale della gara. Partivamo molto indietro, quindi siamo riusciti a recuperare diverse posizioni, arrivando a un passo dalla zona punti. Rimane un po’ di rammarico perché non siamo riusciti a trovare subito questa soluzione, ma fa parte del gioco: è tutta esperienza che stiamo accumulando gara dopo gara. In ogni caso, è stato un altro weekend di crescita e di apprendimento, e abbiamo costruito una base solida su cui continuare a lavorare in vista delle prossime gare. Grazie a tutti per il supporto. Non vedo l’ora di andare ad Aragón, che è una pista che mi piace molto!”.

VIETTI 13TH AT SILVERSTONE, LUNETTA CLOSE TO THE POINTS

The twelfth round of the season came to a close at the Silverstone Circuit, with Celestino Vietti finishing in 13th position after a challenging race, while Luca Lunetta put together an impressive comeback from 24th on the grid.

A difficult start and a race pace below expectations forced number 13 into a long recovery. Vietti remained inside the top 14 for most of the 17 laps of the British Grand Prix, but was unable to close the gap and change the momentum of the race. Celestino eventually crossed the finish line in 13th place, scoring valuable points that allowed him to consolidate seventh position in the overall standings.

It was a race of management and comeback for Luca Lunetta, who started from 24th on the grid. After an initial phase in which he was unable to immediately make up ground, the rider chose to preserve his tyres, progressively increasing his pace as the laps went by. Effective tyre management allowed him to recover several positions and move closer to the points-paying positions, eventually finishing the Grand Prix in 16th place.

The GT Trevisan SpeedRS Team will now take a further break before returning to action. The next round of the World Championship will take place at MotorLand Aragón from 28 to 30 August.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P13

“It wasn’t the race we were expecting. I really struggled to find a truly competitive pace and, unfortunately, this penalised us. Thirteenth position is a positive result, but we know we can do much more. Now we look ahead: I can’t wait to get back on track in Aragón and work as hard as possible to take a step forward”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P16

“It was a tough race on Sunday, but I think we made a big step forward with the bike and the set-up overall. I felt much more comfortable riding, and this allowed us to improve the bike’s behaviour and be faster, especially in the middle part of the race. We started from very far back, so we managed to recover several positions and get within one place of the points. There is a bit of disappointment that we weren’t able to find this solution straight away, but that’s part of the game: it’s all experience that we are building up race after race. In any case, it was another weekend of growth and learning, and we have built a solid foundation to continue working on ahead of the next races. Thanks to everyone for the support. I can’t wait to go to Aragón, which is a track I really like!”.
