Il GT Trevisan SpeedRS Team ha concluso il sabato del Gran Premio di Gran Bretagna con Celestino Vietti in 12ª posizione in qualifica, pronto a scattare domani dalla quarta fila. Luca Lunetta, invece, partirà dalla 24ª casella dello schieramento dopo essersi fermato in Q1.

Vietti ha proseguito il lavoro di messa a punto nella FP2, sfruttando la sessione per valutare diverse soluzioni sulla sua Boscoscuro, senza concentrarsi sul singolo giro veloce. Il pilota di Ciriè ha concluso la sessione in 21ª posizione con il tempo di 2’03.267, prima di compiere un importante passo avanti in qualifica. Il crono di 2’02.431 gli ha permesso di conquistare la 12ª posizione in Q2 e la conseguente partenza dalla quarta fila nella gara di domenica.

Sabato più complicato, invece, per Lunetta, che ha chiuso l’ultima sessione di prove libere in 28ª posizione con il tempo di 2’04.312. In Q1, il giovane rookie non è riuscito a trovare il riferimento necessario per entrare nei primi quattro e accedere alla Q2, chiudendo la sessione in 24ª posizione con il tempo di 2’03.228. Domani scatterà dall’ottava fila, con l’obiettivo di sfruttare al meglio le prime fasi della gara e iniziare la propria rimonta verso la zona punti.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P12 in 2’02.431

“Non è la posizione a cui ambivamo, ma stiamo lavorando nella direzione giusta. La squadra mi sta aiutando molto, soprattutto perché su questa pista sto facendo un po’ più di fatica. Domani sarà importante gestire bene il posteriore e preservare la gomma. Farò il massimo per disputare una bella gara e portare a casa il miglior risultato possibile”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P24 in 2’03.228

“È stata una giornata di molto lavoro e ora dobbiamo analizzare bene quanto fatto per capire dove possiamo migliorare. La pista è lunga e devo continuare ad affinarmi sia con la moto sia con la guida. Oggi ci sono mancati pochi decimi per essere più competitivi, ma sul passo gara abbiamo una moto che può darci buone sensazioni e, con una corretta gestione della gomma, non dovremmo avere particolari problemi. Questo è sicuramente un aspetto positivo. Il team ha fatto un ottimo lavoro e, come sempre, voglio ringraziare tutti per il grande supporto. Ora testa a domani, con tanta motivazione e la voglia di recuperare”.

FOURTH ROW FOR VIETTI IN BRITISH GP QUALIFYING. LUNETTA STOPS IN Q1

The GT Trevisan SpeedRS Team wrapped up Saturday at the British Grand Prix with Celestino Vietti qualifying 12th and set to start tomorrow’s race from the fourth row. Luca Lunetta, meanwhile, will line up 24th on the grid after stopping in Q1.

Vietti continued his set-up work in FP2, using the session to evaluate different solutions on his Boscoscuro rather than focusing on a single flying lap. The Ciriè rider finished the session 21st with a 2’03.267, before making a significant step forward in qualifying. A lap of 2’02.431 secured 12th place in Q2 and a fourth-row start for Sunday’s race.

It was a tougher Saturday for Lunetta, who ended the final free practice session 28th with a 2’04.312. The rookie was unable to find the necessary pace in Q1 to break into the top four and progress to Q2, eventually qualifying 24th with a 2’03.228. He will start from the eighth row tomorrow, aiming to make the most of the opening laps and launch a charge towards the points.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P12 in 2’02.431

“It’s not the position we were aiming for, but we are working in the right direction. The team is helping me a lot, especially as I’m struggling a little more than usual at this track. Tomorrow, it will be important to manage the rear tyre well and manage it throughout the race. I’ll give it my all to have a strong race and bring home the best result possible”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P24 in 2’03.228

“It was a day of a lot of work, and now we need to analyse everything carefully to understand where we can improve. The track is long, and I need to keep working on both the bike and my riding. Today, we were only missing a few tenths to be more competitive, but we have good race pace and the bike is giving us positive feedback. With the right tyre management, we shouldn’t have any particular issues, which is definitely a positive. The team did a great job and, as always, I want to thank everyone for their great support. Now our focus is on tomorrow, with plenty of motivation and the desire to fight our way forward”.
