Fine settimana da incorniciare per il Beta Tools SpeedRS Team al GP di Catalogna, chiuso con uno straordinario secondo posto di Celestino Vietti e con la prima top 10 in Moto2 di Luca Lunetta.

Vietti ha confermato tutto il potenziale mostrato fin dalle prime sessioni del weekend. Scattato dalla pole position, il pilota piemontese ha preso subito il comando della corsa imponendo un ritmo elevatissimo e guidando il gruppo per gran parte dei 21 giri sul tracciato catalano. Solo nelle battute finali, a tre giri dalla conclusione, un improvviso calo di prestazione gli ha impedito di difendersi dall’attacco di Gonzalez, costringendolo a cedere la leadership. Celestino ha comunque lottato fino alla bandiera a scacchi, conquistando un prezioso secondo posto che gli permette anche di salire al terzo posto nella classifica generale.

Fine settimana positivo anche per Luca Lunetta, autore della sua miglior prestazione stagionale. Partito dalla decima posizione in griglia, il rookie italiano ha gestito con lucidità una gara lunga e combattuta, recuperando terreno dopo una partenza non perfetta. Giro dopo giro, il numero 32 ha mostrato sempre più confidenza con la Boscoscuro, chiudendo al nono posto e conquistando così la sua prima top 10 nella classe intermedia.

L’attività del Beta Tools SpeedRS Team proseguirà già martedì con una giornata di test ufficiali, importante per continuare il lavoro in vista dei prossimi appuntamenti della stagione.

“Sono molto contento per me e per la squadra: abbiamo lavorato davvero molto bene. Peccato aver perso la gara negli ultimi giri, ma Manu è stato più bravo a gestire le gomme e nel finale aveva qualcosa in più. Adesso sfrutteremo al meglio il test, lavorando su alcuni dettagli per arrivare al Mugello, che per me è casa, ancora più motivati e pronti a fare bene.” 

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P9

“Sono molto soddisfatto di questa prima top 10 in Moto2: abbiamo chiuso al nono posto portando a casa tantissima esperienza. È stata una gara lunga, ma siamo migliorati molto durante il weekend e il team ha fatto un lavoro strepitoso. Sono contento anche dei passi avanti che sto facendo nella guida della Boscoscuro, una moto che sto conoscendo sempre meglio turno dopo turno e gara dopo gara. Penso che ci stiamo avvicinando molto ai migliori e, a livello di feeling, mi sento sempre più a mio agio. Siamo sulla strada giusta, quindi grazie a tutti i membri del team e agli sponsor. Martedì avremo un test molto importante per provare alcune soluzioni, adattarmi ancora di più e continuare a fare passi avanti. Non vedo l’ora di tornare in pista e arrivare al Mugello ancora più carichi”.

VIETTI TAKES AN OUTSTANDING SECOND PLACE AT THE CATALAN GP. LUNETTA FINISHES NINTH 

A memorable weekend for the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team at the Catalan GP, highlighted by an outstanding second-place finish for Celestino Vietti and Luca Lunetta’s first Moto2 top-10 result.

Vietti confirmed all the potential he had shown since the opening sessions of the weekend. Starting from pole position, the Italian rider immediately took the lead of the race, setting a very strong pace and leading the field for most of the 21 laps around the Catalan circuit. Only in the closing stages, with three laps remaining, a sudden drop in performance prevented him from defending against Gonzalez’s attack, forcing him to give up the lead. Celestino still fought until the chequered flag, securing a valuable second-place finish that also moves him up to third in the overall championship standings.

It was also a positive weekend for Luca Lunetta, who achieved his best result of the season. Starting from tenth on the grid, the Italian rookie managed a long and demanding race with great composure, recovering positions after a less-than-perfect start. Lap after lap, the #32 rider showed increasing confidence with the Boscoscuro bike, eventually finishing ninth and securing his first top-10 result in the intermediate class.

The Beta Tools SpeedRS Team will be back on track already on Tuesday for an official test day, an important opportunity to continue development work ahead of the upcoming rounds of the season.

It’s a shame to lose the race in the final laps, but Manu managed the tyres better and had something more at the end. Now we’ll make the most of the test, working on a few details to arrive at Mugello — which feels like home for me — even more motivated and ready to do well”.

“I’m very satisfied with this first Moto2 top 10 finish. We ended the race in ninth place and gained a huge amount of experience. It was a long race, but we improved a lot throughout the weekend and the team did an amazing job. I’m also happy with the progress I’m making riding the Boscoscuro, a bike that I’m getting to know better session after session and race after race. I think we are getting closer to the front runners and, in terms of feeling, I’m becoming more and more comfortable. We are on the right path, so thanks to all the team members and our sponsors. On Tuesday we’ll have a very important test to try some new things, adapt even more and continue making steps forward. I can’t wait to get back on track and arrive at Mugello even more fired up”.
