All’Automotodrom Brno, con i colori dell’HDR SpeedRS Team, Celestino Vietti e Luca Lunetta sono tornati in pista per il Gran Premio della Repubblica Ceca, nono appuntamento della stagione 2026 del Motomondiale.

Per Vietti il venerdì non è iniziato nel migliore dei modi. Nelle FP1, infatti, un problema tecnico dopo appena un giro lo ha costretto a rientrare ai box, riducendo il tempo di lavoro a disposizione. Il numero 13 ha chiuso la sessione in 21ª posizione con il tempo di 2’00.006. Nel pomeriggio, però, Celestino ha fermato il cronometro sull’1’59.024, conquistando la 14ª posizione e ottenendo così l’ultimo pass utile per l’accesso diretto alla Q2 di domani.

Prosegue il percorso di crescita di Luca Lunetta, all’esordio assoluto sul tracciato ceco. Il numero 32 ha sfruttato al meglio i 40 minuti delle prove libere per prendere confidenza sia con il circuito sia con la sua Boscoscuro, chiudendo la sessione mattutina in 26ª posizione con il tempo di 2’00.312. Nella Practice, grazie a un miglioramento costante e a un efficace lavoro di squadra, Lunetta ha progressivamente abbassato il proprio riferimento cronometrico fino all’1’59.456, chiudendo la sessione al 20° posto. Un passo avanti significativo che conferma segnali incoraggianti in vista delle qualifiche di domani.

“È stata una giornata un po’ difficile, iniziata purtroppo con un intoppo che ci ha fatto perdere tempo prezioso. Nonostante questo, siamo riusciti a portare a termine il lavoro previsto. Nel pomeriggio non è stato semplice: stiamo faticando un po’ a trovare la giusta velocità e soprattutto la costanza. L’obiettivo era entrare direttamente in Q2 e ce l’abbiamo fatta, anche se per un soffio. Adesso lavoreremo per colmare il gap in vista di domani”. 

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P20 in 1’59.456

“Venerdì a Brno archiviato! Sono contento soprattutto delle sensazioni che ho avuto durante la Practice. Per me questa è una pista completamente nuova e all’inizio ho faticato un po’ a interpretarla e a trovare i giusti riferimenti. Già nella seconda sessione, però, sono riuscito a fare un passo avanti e a capire meglio dove poter migliorare. Con la moto mi sto trovando bene, anzi, il feeling è decisamente migliore rispetto al weekend dell’Ungheria, quindi questo è un aspetto molto positivo. Adesso dobbiamo continuare a lavorare nella giusta direzione e cercare di fare un ulteriore step domani. Sarà importante sfruttare al massimo la FP2 per accumulare altri giri, aumentare la confidenza con la pista e arrivare preparati alla qualifica, dove l’obiettivo sarà conquistare una buona posizione in griglia”.

CZECH GP: VIETTI MAKES Q2, LUNETTA CONTINUES HIS PROGRESS IN BRNO

At the Automotodrom Brno, with the colours of the HDR SpeedRS Team, Celestino Vietti and Luca Lunetta were back on track for the Czech Grand Prix, the ninth round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship season.

For Celestino Vietti, Friday did not start in the best way. In FP1, a technical issue after just one lap forced him back into the garage, limiting his track time and setup work. The number 13 finished the session in 21st place with a time of 2’00.006. In the afternoon, however, Vietti responded strongly, stopping the clock at 1’59.024 to take 14th place and secure the final direct ticket to Q2 for tomorrow.

A positive progression continues for Luca Lunetta, making his first appearance at the Czech circuit. The number 32 made the most of the 40-minute free practice session to get familiar with both the track and his Boscoscuro bike, finishing FP1 in 26th place with a time of 2’00.312. In the Practice session, Lunetta showed consistent improvement, gradually lowering his lap time thanks to strong team work, eventually setting a best lap of 1’59.456 and finishing 20th. A solid step forward that confirms encouraging signs ahead of Saturday’s qualifying.

“It was a difficult day, starting with a technical issue that unfortunately cost us valuable track time. Despite that, we managed to complete the planned work. In the afternoon it wasn’t easy: we are still struggling a bit to find the right speed and, above all, consistency. The goal was to go straight into Q2 and we achieved it, even if only just. Now we will work to close the gap for tomorrow”.

“Friday in Brno is done! I’m especially happy with the feelings I had during the Practice session. For me, this is a completely new track and at the beginning I struggled a bit to understand it and find the right references. Already in the second session, however, I made a step forward and started to understand where I can improve. I’m feeling good with the bike; in fact, the feeling is clearly better compared to the Hungarian round, which is a very positive aspect. Now we need to keep working in the right direction and try to make another step tomorrow. FP2 will be important to complete more laps, build confidence with the track, and arrive fully prepared for qualifying, where the goal will be to secure a good grid position”.
