Si sono concluse questo pomeriggio le qualifiche del GP d’Italia all’Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, con il MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team che conquista la sesta e la settima fila dello schieramento di partenza per la gara di domani.

In una giornata caratterizzata da temperature estremamente elevate, i portacolori del team hanno lavorato intensamente per preparare al meglio la domenica italiana. Durante le FP2, Celestino Vietti ha concentrato il proprio lavoro sul passo gara, completando la sessione senza effettuare soste ai box e chiudendo con il sesto miglior tempo grazie al crono di 1’49.680. Dall’altra parte del box, Luca Lunetta ha proseguito il proprio percorso di crescita, migliorando il riferimento del venerdì e terminando la sessione in ventunesima posizione con il tempo di 1’50.473.

Nel pomeriggio, le qualifiche non hanno però restituito il risultato sperato per Vietti. Nonostante l’ottimo potenziale mostrato nel corso delle precedenti sessioni, il pilota di Ciriè non è riuscito a completare un giro pienamente competitivo. Inoltre, a meno di due minuti dal termine della Q2, una caduta alla curva 10 ha compromesso definitivamente la possibilità di migliorarsi. Con il tempo di 1’49.661, Vietti ha chiuso la sessione in sedicesima posizione e scatterà domani dalla sesta fila.

Luca Lunetta ha invece concluso la giornata in Q1 con il sesto crono in 1’49.672, risultato che gli vale la ventesima posizione in griglia per la gara di domani.

“Mi dispiace per l’errore commesso oggi in qualifica, soprattutto perché domani ci aspetta una gara dura. Questa mattina abbiamo lavorato bene e il ritmo c’era, quindi è davvero un peccato. Qui sarà più importante che mai fare una buona partenza, perché ciò che riusciremo a guadagnare già alla prima curva potrà fare la differenza per il resto della corsa. Daremo il massimo per fare bene davanti al pubblico di casa”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P20 in 1’49.672

“Sono contento dei passi avanti fatti durante il weekend, perché siamo riusciti a migliorare turno dopo turno e a essere più competitivi rispetto a ieri. In qualifica abbiamo dato tutto, anche se partire dalla ventesima posizione non è sicuramente il risultato che volevamo. Domani sarà importante fare una buona partenza e cercare di recuperare posizioni fin dai primi giri. Correre al Mugello davanti ai tifosi italiani dà sempre una motivazione speciale e daremo il massimo per fare una bella gara”.

ITALIAN GP QUALIFYING: SIXTH AND SEVENTH ROWS FOR THE MB CONVEYORS SPEEDRS TEAM

The qualifying session for the Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello concluded this afternoon, with the MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team securing sixth and seventh row positions on the starting grid for tomorrow’s race.

On a day marked by extremely high temperatures, the team riders worked intensively to prepare for the Italian Sunday. During FP2, Celestino Vietti focused on race pace, completing the session without any pit stops and setting the sixth-fastest time with a lap of 1’49.680. On the other side of the garage, Luca Lunetta continued his development path, improving his Friday reference and finishing the session in twenty-first position with a time of 1’50.473.

In the afternoon, qualifying did not deliver the expected results for Vietti. Despite strong potential shown throughout the previous sessions, the rider from Ciriè was unable to put together a fully competitive lap. Furthermore, with less than two minutes remaining in Q2, a crash at Turn 10 definitively prevented any further improvement. With a lap time of 1’49.661, Vietti finished the session in sixteenth position and will start tomorrow from the sixth row.

Luca Lunetta, meanwhile, ended the day in Q1 with the sixth-fastest time of 1’49.672, which places him twentieth on the grid for tomorrow’s race.

“I’m sorry for the mistake I made in qualifying, especially because tomorrow will be a tough race. This morning we worked well and the pace was there, so it’s really a shame. Here it will be more important than ever to make a good start, because what we can gain already in the first corner could make the difference for the rest of the race. We will give our maximum to perform well in front of the home crowd”.

“I’m happy with the progress made throughout the weekend, as we were able to improve session after session and be more competitive compared to yesterday. In qualifying we gave it everything, even if starting from twentieth position is not the result we wanted. Tomorrow it will be important to get a good start and try to recover positions in the early laps. Racing at Mugello in front of the Italian fans always gives a special motivation, and we will give our best to have a strong race”.
