Si è appena concluso il Gran Premio di Spagna con un’ottima prestazione di Celestino Vietti, protagonista di una straordinaria rimonta che lo ha portato fino alla quinta posizione. Diciottesimo posto invece per Luca Lunetta, al rientro in gara dopo lo stop forzato.

Scattato dalla tredicesima casella in griglia, Vietti ha affrontato un primo giro complicato nel traffico, assestandosi inizialmente nella top 14. Da quel momento in poi, però, il pilota italiano ha dato vita a una rimonta solida e costante, grazie ad un ritmo gara eccellente. Giro dopo giro è riuscito a risalire fino alla quarta posizione, scontrandosi poi con David Alonso. Nel finale, Celestino ha ceduto il passo, chiudendo comunque con un prezioso quinto posto. Un risultato che gli consente di raccogliere punti importanti in ottica campionato, portandosi ora a soli due punti dalla terza posizione in classifica.

Weekend di rientro invece per Lunetta, tornato in sella alla sua Boscoscuro dopo l’infortunio. Partito dalla ventiseiesima posizione, ha affrontato la gara con l’obiettivo principale di ritrovare il feeling e accumulare dati utili in vista dei prossimi appuntamenti. Il numero 32 ha dato il massimo per tutta la gara, tagliando il traguardo in diciottesima posizione.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P5

“Sono molto contento della gara. È stata una bellissima domenica, con una grande rimonta. Purtroppo ieri, in qualifica, come avevo detto, ho fatto un po’ di fatica in generale con le condizioni e non sono riuscito a chiudere un buon giro, anche a causa della bandiera gialla. Quindi partivamo un po’ indietro, però avevamo un buon ritmo: siamo stati veloci per tutta la gara e abbiamo fatto tanti sorpassi. È stata davvero una bellissima rimonta e sono soddisfatto della velocità. Dovrò cercare di essere un po’ più preciso il sabato, perché sappiamo che la qualifica è molto importante. Però sono contento del lavoro di tutto il team e del feeling con la moto. In gara, alla fine ero davvero al limite, non ne avevo più e non sono riuscito a contrastare bene D. Alonso, però abbiamo portato a casa dei buonissimi punti. È stata una buona domenica, che ci dà fiducia per arrivare a Le Mans motivati”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P18

“Sono soddisfatto della giornata: siamo riusciti a raggiungere l’obiettivo principale, ovvero completare i 21 giri di gara, raccogliendo dati molto importanti sia sulla moto sia sul mio stile di guida, soprattutto nella seconda metà che per noi era ancora un terreno inesplorato. Non eravamo mai riusciti a fare una vera simulazione gara, quindi questa è stata la mia prima esperienza con un numero così alto di giri e con queste gomme. C’è ancora tanto lavoro da fare, ma abbiamo già individuato le aree su cui concentrarci, sia negli allenamenti a casa sia durante i weekend di gara. Questo è solo il punto di partenza per i prossimi step. La voglia di crescere è altissima e sappiamo che dobbiamo farlo in fretta, perché vogliamo dimostrare di essere competitivi e all’altezza. Abbiamo solo bisogno di un po’ di tempo: quasi due mesi senza moto si fanno sentire. Un passetto alla volta torniamo”.

GREAT COMEBACK FOR VIETTI: FIFTH AT THE SPANISH GP. LUNETTA 18TH

The Spanish Grand Prix has just concluded with an excellent performance by Celestino Vietti, who delivered an outstanding comeback to finish in fifth place. Luca Lunetta, meanwhile, crossed the line in 18th position in his return race after a forced break.

Starting from 13th on the grid, Vietti faced a challenging opening lap in heavy traffic, initially settling around the top 14. From that point on, however, the Italian rider mounted a strong and consistent recovery, thanks to an excellent race pace. Lap after lap, he climbed up to fourth position, eventually battling with David Alonso. In the closing stages, Celestino had to give way, but still secured a valuable fifth-place finish. This result earns him important championship points, bringing him to just two points behind third place in the standings.

It was a return weekend for Lunetta, back on his Boscoscuro machine after injury. Starting from 26th on the grid, his main goal was to regain confidence and gather useful data for upcoming races. Rider number 32 gave his all throughout the race, ultimately finishing in 18th position.

“I’m very happy with the race. It was a great Sunday with a strong comeback. Unfortunately, yesterday in qualifying, as I mentioned, I struggled a bit overall with the conditions and wasn’t able to put together a good lap, also due to a yellow flag. So we started a bit further back, but we had good pace: we were fast throughout the race and made many overtakes. It was really a great comeback, and I’m satisfied with the speed. I need to be a bit more precise on Saturdays, because we know qualifying is very important. Still, I’m happy with the work of the whole team and the feeling with the bike. In the end, I was really at the limit and had nothing left, so I couldn’t defend well against D. Alonso, but we brought home very good points. It was a positive Sunday that gave us confidence heading to Le Mans”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P18
“I’m satisfied with the day: we achieved our main goal, which was to complete all 21 race laps, collecting very important data both on the bike and on my riding style, especially in the second half, which was still uncharted territory for us. We had never managed a proper race simulation before, so this was my first experience with such a high number of laps and with these tires. There’s still a lot of work to do, but we’ve already identified the areas to focus on, both in training at home and during race weekends. This is just the starting point for the next steps. The desire to improve is very strong, and we know we have to do it quickly because we want to prove we are competitive and up to the level. We just need a bit of time, almost two months without riding makes itself felt. Step by step, we’ll get back”.
