QUALIFICHE GP D’INDONESIA: VIETTI IN QUINTA FILA; LÓPEZ SI FERMA IN Q1

Al Mandalika International Circuit si sono appena concluse le qualifiche del GP d’Indonesia. Vietti si prende la quinta fila, mentre López l’ottava.

Non è stato un inizio di giornata brillante per i due piloti del Beta Tools SpeedRS, che nelle FP2 hanno terminato rispettivamente in P14 (#13 – 1’33.399) e P24 (#21 – 1’34.039).

In Q1, Celestino ha deciso di restare in pista per tutta la sessione senza effettuare pitstop, riuscendo a strappare l’ultimo posto disponibile per il passaggio alla fase successiva con un tempo di 1’33.074. In Q2, però, non è riuscito a migliorare come sperato, fermandosi in quattordicesima posizione in 1’33.043, crono che gli è valso la quinta fila in griglia.

Sfortunatamente, per Alonso, il sabato indonesiano si è concluso in Q1 (1’33.386), precludendogli la possibilità di lottare per una posizione migliore. Domani partirà ventiquattresimo, ovvero dall’ottava fila della griglia.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 24° in 1’33.386

“Non sono riuscito a mettere insieme un giro pulito e abbiamo pagato. Domani partirò indietro, ma cercherò di spingere fin da subito per rimontare”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 14° in 1’33.043

“Oggi non siamo riusciti a migliorare quanto avremmo voluto per fare una buona qualifica. Ora dobbiamo lavorare per capire dove possiamo migliorare, sia a livello di guida sia di setting, se vogliamo fare una buona gara domani. Darò il massimo per cercare di risalire il più possibile”.

QUALIFYING INDONESIAN GP: VIETTI IN FIFTH ROW; LÓPEZ STOPS IN Q1

At the Mandalika International Circuit, the qualifying sessions for the Indonesian GP have just concluded. Vietti takes the fifth row, while López starts from the eighth.

It was not a brilliant start to the day for the two Beta Tools SpeedRS riders, who finished FP2 in P14 (#13 – 1’33.399) and P24 (#21 – 1’34.039), respectively.

In Q1, Celestino decided to stay on track for the entire session without making a pit stop, managing to secure the last available spot to advance to the next phase with a time of 1’33.074. In Q2, however, he was unable to improve as hoped, finishing fourteenth with a time of 1’33.043, which earned him the fifth row on the grid.

Unfortunately, for Alonso, the Indonesian Saturday ended in Q1 (1’33.386), preventing him from fighting for a better position. Tomorrow he will start twenty-fourth, from the eighth row of the grid.

“I wasn’t able to put together a clean lap and we paid the price. Tomorrow I’ll start from the back, but I’ll try to push from the beginning to make up positions”.

“Today we weren’t able to improve as much as we wanted to do a good qualifying. Now we need to work to understand where we can improve, both in terms of riding and bike setup, if we want to have a good race tomorrow. I’ll give my all to try to move up as much as possible”.
