A pochi giorni dal Gran Premio di San Marino, il Beta Tools SpeedRS Team è già tornato in pista al Red Bull Ring per il Gran Premio d’Austria. Al termine della prima giornata di attività, Celestino Vietti chiude in nona posizione, mentre Luca Lunetta diciannovesimo.

Sul tracciato austriaco, tra i suoi preferiti e teatro di uno dei podi conquistati nel 2025, Vietti ha mostrato fin dalle FP1 un buon passo, chiudendo il primo turno in P5 con un crono di 1’33.431. Nella Practice il numero 13 ha continuato a migliorare, fermando il cronometro sull’1’32.795, a soli +0.393 dal primo. Un risultato che gli vale l’accesso diretto alla Q2.

Dopo il P15 nelle FP1 in 1’34.186, Lunetta ha invece affrontato una Practice più complicata. Un’uscita alla Curva 4 gli ha fatto perdere minuti preziosi di lavoro, costringendolo a rientrare ai box. Tornato in pista nelle fasi finali della sessione, il numero 32 ha chiuso in P19 con un tempo di 1’33.530. Domani dovrà quindi affrontare la Q1.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P9 in 1’32.795

“È stato un buon venerdì. Siamo partiti subito con un buon feeling e stiamo lavorando a piccoli passi, in progressione, per cercare di arrivare alla gara preparati. A Misano eravamo veloci, ma ci è mancato qualcosina per la gara. Il ritmo non è male, forse dobbiamo essere un po’ più esplosivi, però la direzione è quella giusta”. 

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P19 in 1’33.530

“È stata una giornata positiva. Questa mattina mi sentivo subito bene con la moto e abbiamo chiuso il primo turno a meno di un secondo dalla vetta. In frenata siamo stati competitivi fin da subito, mentre ora dobbiamo lavorare su alcuni aspetti del set-up per capire dove possiamo migliorare, anche a livello di guida. Il margine c’è, la moto funziona e questo mi rende positivo in vista del weekend. Ringrazio tutta la squadra per il grande lavoro e l’impegno di oggi. Sono determinato a continuare a migliorare e a fare un altro passo avanti domani”.

AUSTRIAN GP: VIETTI CLOSES THE FIRST DAY IN NINTH, LUNETTA IN P19

Just a few days after the San Marino GP, the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team is already back on track at the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix. At the end of the first day of action, Celestino Vietti finished ninth, while Luca Lunetta ended the day in nineteenth.

At the Austrian circuit, one of his favourite tracks and the venue of one of the podium finishes he secured in 2025, Vietti showed a strong pace from FP1 onwards, finishing the first session in P5 with a lap time of 1’33.431. In Practice, the #13 rider continued to improve, stopping the clock at 1’32.795, just +0.393s from the top. The result earned him direct access to Q2.

After finishing P15 in FP1 with a time of 1’34.186, Lunetta faced a more difficult Practice session. A run-off at Turn 4 cost him valuable track time, forcing him to return to the pits. Back on track in the final stages of the session, the #32 rider finished P19 with a time of 1’33.530. He will therefore have to contest Q1 tomorrow.

“It was a good Friday. We started straight away with a good feeling, and we’re working step by step, making progress and trying to arrive at the race as prepared as possible. At Misano we were fast, but we were missing something for the race. The pace is not bad; maybe we need to be a little more explosive, but the direction is right”. 

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P19 in 1’33.530

“It was a positive day. I felt immediately comfortable with the bike this morning, and we finished the first session less than a second off the top. We were competitive under braking from the very beginning, while now we need to work on some set-up aspects to understand where we can improve, including in terms of riding. There is still room for improvement, the bike is working well, and that makes me positive heading into the weekend. I want to thank the whole team for their great work and commitment today. I’m determined to keep improving and take another step forward tomorrow”.
