Una gara agrodolce quella disputata oggi dal Beta Tools SpeedRS Team del Gran Premio d’Austria. Al termine dei 23 giri sul tracciato del Red Bull Ring, il rookie Luca Lunetta ha centrato un’altra importante top10, mentre Celestino Vietti ha chiuso la gara in 23ª posizione.

Scattato dalla 14ª casella della griglia, Lunetta ha disputato una gara solida e costante, costruita giro dopo giro con un ritmo competitivo. Il giovane pilota romano ha mantenuto un passo efficace per tutta la distanza, recuperando progressivamente posizioni fino a conquistare il decimo posto sotto la bandiera a scacchi.

Gara difficile, invece, per Celestino Vietti. Il pilota numero 13 ha perso posizioni già nelle prime fasi della corsa, ritrovandosi in P19 dopo poche curve. Vietti ha quindi provato a reagire e a recuperare terreno, ma la rimonta è stata resa ancora più difficile dal Long Lap Penalty arrivato a cinque giri dalla conclusione per track limits. Nonostante l’impegno e la determinazione, Celestino ha tagliato il traguardo in 23ª posizione, concludendo così il GP d’Austria senza punti.

Il Beta Tools SpeedRS Team si prenderà ora una settimana di pausa prima di tornare in pista per il prossimo appuntamento del campionato, il Gran Premio del Giappone in programma dal 2 al 4 ottobre.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P23

“È stata una gara difficile, purtroppo. Già nelle prime fasi ho perso diverse posizioni, quindi da lì abbiamo dovuto cercare di recuperare. Ho provato a reagire e a spingere, ma oggi ci è mancato qualcosa per riuscire a risalire la classifica. Il LLP e sicuramente non ci ha aiutato nel tentativo di recuperare. Ho continuato a dare il massimo fino alla fine, ma purtroppo non siamo riusciti a portare a casa punti. Ora dobbiamo analizzare bene il weekend, capire dove dobbiamo migliorare e prepararci al meglio per il Giappone”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P10

“Weekend positivo nel complesso, sono contento della gara di oggi. Partivamo dalla 14ª posizione grazie ad una buona qualifica ieri e oggi siamo riusciti a chiudere in decima posizione in una gara molto difficile e intensa, dove tutti hanno dato il 100%. Noi siamo stati bravi a mantenere un buon passo e la moto mi permetteva di frenare forte: è proprio quello che mi era mancato a Misano e su cui abbiamo lavorato qui, riuscendo a essere più incisivi oggi in gara. Forse ci è mancato qualcosa nel finale per poter attaccare l’ottavo e il nono posto, però la velocità c’era e siamo stati consistenti per tutto il weekend. Voglio ringraziare tutto il team, che mi ha messo a disposizione una moto ottima. Io sto continuando a evolvere come pilota e mi sto adattando sempre di più a questa categoria. Non vedo l’ora di affrontare le trasferte extraeuropee. A presto!”.

LUCA LUNETTA IN THE TOP TEN AT THE AUSTRIAN GP

An bittersweet race for the Beta Tools SpeedRS Team at the Austrian Grand Prix. After 23 laps around the Red Bull Ring, rookie Luca Lunetta secured another important top-ten finish, while Celestino Vietti crossed the line in 23rd position.

Starting from 14th on the grid, Lunetta delivered a solid and consistent race, building his performance lap after lap with a competitive pace. The young Italian rider maintained a strong rhythm throughout the race, progressively gaining positions until crossing the finish line in 10th place.

A difficult race, on the other hand, for Celestino Vietti. The #13 rider lost several positions in the early stages of the race, finding himself in P19 after just a few corners. Vietti then tried to react and fight his way back up the order, but his recovery was made even more difficult by a Long Lap Penalty, issued five laps from the finish for track limits. Despite his commitment and determination, Celestino crossed the line in 23rd position, finishing the Austrian GP without scoring any points.

The Beta Tools SpeedRS Team will now take a week off before returning to action for the next round of the championship, the Japanese Grand Prix, scheduled for 2-4 October.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P23

“It was a difficult race, unfortunately. I lost several positions in the early stages, so from there we had to focus on trying to recover. I tried to react and push, but today we were missing something to move back up the standings. The Long Lap Penalty certainly didn’t help us in our attempt to recover. I kept giving my best until the end, but unfortunately we weren’t able to bring any points home. Now we need to analyse the weekend carefully, understand where we need to improve and prepare ourselves as well as possible for Japan”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P10

“Overall, it was a positive weekend and I’m happy with today’s race. We started from 14th thanks to a good qualifying session yesterday, and today we managed to finish in tenth in a very difficult and intense race, where everyone gave 100%. We did a good job of maintaining a strong pace, and the bike allowed me to brake hard. That’s something I was missing in Misano, and it’s something we worked on here, which allowed us to be more effective in the race today. Maybe we were missing a little something towards the end to attack for eighth and ninth, but the speed was there and we were consistent throughout the weekend. I want to thank the whole team for giving me such a great bike. I’m continuing to develop as a rider and I’m adapting more and more to this category. I’m really looking forward to the overseas rounds. See you soon!”.
