Si è conclusa la prima giornata del Gran Premio di Germania, ultimo appuntamento del calendario prima della pausa estiva. Al Sachsenring, le prime indicazioni positive raccolte nella sessione mattutina non sono state sufficienti a garantire ad entrambi i piloti del MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team l’accesso diretto alla Q2.

Celestino ha iniziato il weekend con un ottimo feeling, chiudendo le FP1 al quarto posto con il tempo di 1’22.777. Il pilota piemontese, autore del record della pista nel 2025 (1’22.329), ha confermato fin da subito competitività e velocità sul tracciato tedesco. Nella Practice, però, l’aumento delle temperature ha modificato gli equilibri in pista e il numero 13 ha faticato maggiormente a trovare il giusto ritmo. Con il tempo di 1’23.157, Vietti ha concluso la sessione in 18ª posizione, rimanendo fuori dalla top 14.

Buon avvio anche per Luca Lunetta, protagonista di una FP1 positiva chiusa in 12ª posizione con il crono di 1’23.426. Il rookie romano ha confermato un buon ritmo anche nella sessione pomeridiana, ma non è riuscito a centrare l’accesso diretto in Q2. Con il tempo di 1’23.138, Lunetta ha concluso la Practice in 16ª posizione e domani sarà chiamato ad affrontare la Q1.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P18 in 1’23.157

“Non è stato il miglior venerdì, ma abbiamo comunque raccolto informazioni importanti in vista di domani. Sarà fondamentale fare uno step in FP2, lavorare bene e prepararci al meglio per riuscire innanzitutto a passare in Q2. Poi vedremo cosa riusciremo a fare ”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P16 in 1’23.138

“È stato un venerdì abbastanza positivo. Siamo stati veloci in entrambe le sessioni e ci è mancato davvero poco per entrare direttamente in Q2. Peccato per il secondo run della Practice, dove non siamo riusciti a mettere tutto insieme, ma nel complesso abbiamo disputato uno dei nostri migliori venerdì della stagione. Questo mi rende fiducioso in vista dei prossimi giorni e soprattutto per domani, dove sarà fondamentale fare una buona qualifica perché questa è una pista in cui è difficile sorpassare. Siamo carichi e fiduciosi. Un grande grazie al team per il lavoro svolto”.

GERMAN GP DAY 1: VIETTI AND LUNETTA MISS OUT ON PROVISIONAL Q2 SPOT

The opening day of the German Grand Prix, the final round of the calendar before the summer break, has come to an end. At the Sachsenring, the positive signs shown during the morning session were not enough for both MB Conveyors SpeedRS Team riders to secure a direct place in Q2.

Celestino started the weekend with a strong feeling, finishing FP1 in fourth position with a lap time of 1’22.777. The Italian rider, who set the track record at the Sachsenring in 2025 (1’22.329), immediately confirmed his competitiveness and speed on the German circuit. However, during Practice, the higher temperatures changed the balance on track and the #13 rider struggled more to find the right pace. With a time of 1’23.157, Vietti ended the session in 18th place, missing out on a top-14 position.

Luca Lunetta also made a positive start to the weekend, ending FP1 in 12th place with a time of 1’23.426. The Roman rookie maintained a good pace throughout the afternoon session as well, but was unable to secure direct access to Q2. With a best lap of 1’23.138, Lunetta finished Practice in 16th position and will therefore have to go through Q1 tomorrow.

“Today was not our best Friday, but we still collected important information for tomorrow. It will be crucial to make a step forward in FP2, work well and prepare ourselves in the best possible way to first of all make it through to Q2. Then we will see what we can achieve”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P16 – 1’23.138

“It was quite a positive Friday. We were fast in both sessions and we were just missing a little bit to secure direct access to Q2. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to put everything together during the second run of Practice, but overall it was one of our best Fridays of the season. This gives me confidence for the next few days and especially for tomorrow, where it will be important to deliver a strong qualifying performance because this is a track where overtaking is difficult. We are motivated and confident. A big thanks to the team for the great work”.
