Le qualifiche del Dutch GP si chiudono con un’ottima prestazione di Celestino Vietti, capace di riscattare la sfortunata giornata di venerdì conquistando un posto in seconda fila. Più complicato, invece, il sabato di Luca Lunetta, che non riesce a superare la Q1 e domani sarà chiamato a una gara in rimonta.

Dopo la caduta nelle prime fasi della Practice di ieri, Vietti ha potuto finalmente concentrarsi sul lavoro di messa a punto della Boscoscuro nelle FP2, chiudendo la sessione al 18° posto in 1’38.150. Il passo avanti è arrivato in qualifica: con il quarto miglior tempo in Q1 (1’36.103), il numero 13 ha centrato l’accesso alla fase decisiva, dove ha chiuso sesto in 1’35.492.  Un risultato che gli permetterà di prendere il via dalla seconda fila della griglia.

Sabato più complicato per Lunetta. Il rookie romano ha concluso le FP2 in 27ª posizione con il tempo di 1’36.531. In Q1 ha cercato di migliorarsi fino all’ultimo giro, ma alcuni rallentamenti durante il suo giro veloce ne hanno condizionato il risultato. Il nono tempo della sessione gli vale l’ottava fila di partenza nella gara di domani. 

A seguito della squalifica inflitta a Muñoz (#17), la griglia è stata aggiornata e i due portacolori del HDR SpeedRS Team guadagnano una posizione: Vietti scatterà dalla quinta casella, mentre Lunetta dalla 22ª. 

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P5 in 1’35.492 

“È stato un buon sabato dopo la caduta di ieri: è già positivo il fatto che sono riuscito a tornare in pista e a girare. Siamo stati anche abbastanza veloci e siamo riusciti a passare dalla Q1 alla Q2. Sicuramente c’è ancora da lavorare un po’ sulla costanza, ma partire dalla seconda fila è comunque una base solida. Domani sarà una gara difficile, soprattutto per la gestione delle gomme, quindi cercheremo di dare il massimo e vediamo cosa riusciremo a portare a casa”.

LUCA LUNETTA #32: P22 in 1’36.262

“È stata una giornata produttiva, anche se non siamo riusciti a concretizzare tutto il nostro potenziale. Questa mattina abbiamo lavorato per ritrovare il feeling con la moto, che dopo la caduta di ieri andava ricostruito, e passo dopo passo sono tornato ad avere buone sensazioni. Sono davvero orgoglioso del team e di tutti i ragazzi del box, perché stanno dando il 100% per permetterci di crescere a ogni turno. Dopo quello che è successo ieri hanno rimesso la moto a posto in tempi rapidi e hanno fatto un lavoro straordinario. In qualifica, purtroppo, alcuni episodi non ci hanno permesso di concretizzare un passaggio in Q2 che era assolutamente alla nostra portata. Non ci scoraggiamo: analizzeremo tutto con attenzione, cercheremo di fare un ulteriore passo avanti e domani daremo il massimo per fare una bella gara e divertirci. Grazie ancora a tutta la squadra”.

FROM Q1 TO THE SECOND ROW: VIETTI REBOUNDS IN DUTCH GP QUALIFYING

The Dutch GP qualifying session ended with a strong performance from Celestino Vietti, who bounced back from a difficult Friday to secure a place on the second row of the starting grid. It was a more challenging Saturday for Luca Lunetta, who was unable to progress beyond Q1 and will face tomorrow’s race from the back of the field.

After his crash in the early stages of yesterday’s Practice, Vietti was finally able to focus on refining the setup of his Boscoscuro during FP2, finishing the session in 18th place with a lap time of 1’38.150. The breakthrough came in qualifying: setting the fourth-fastest time in Q1 (1’36.103), the #13 rider secured his place in the decisive phase, where he went on to finish sixth in 1’35.492. This result will see him line up on the second row of the grid.

A more difficult Saturday for Lunetta. The rookie from Rome ended FP2 in 27th place with a time of 1’36.531. In Q1 he kept pushing until the final lap, but some traffic during his flying attempt affected his result. The ninth-fastest time in the session places him on the eighth row for tomorrow’s race.

Following the disqualification of Muñoz (#17), the grid has been updated and both HDR SpeedRS Team riders gain one position: Vietti will line up fifth, while Lunetta will start from 22nd.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: P5 in 1’35.492
“It was a good Saturday after yesterday’s crash. The most important thing is that I was able to get back on track and complete some laps. We were reasonably quick and managed to move through from Q1 to Q2, which is a positive sign. There is still some work to do in terms of consistency, but starting from the second row is a solid base. Tomorrow will be a difficult race, especially in terms of tyre management, so we’ll try to give our maximum and see what we can bring home”.

“It was a productive day, even though we weren’t able to fully convert our potential. This morning we worked on regaining confidence with the bike, which needed rebuilding after yesterday’s crash, and step by step I started to feel better again. I’m really proud of the team and everyone in the garage, because they are giving 100% to help us improve every session. After what happened yesterday, they rebuilt the bike in no time and did an outstanding job. Unfortunately, in qualifying a few circumstances prevented us from achieving a Q2 spot, which was definitely within our reach. We won’t get discouraged: we’ll go through everything carefully, try to take another step forward, and tomorrow we’ll push hard for a strong race and enjoy it. Thanks again to the whole team”.
